The Consumer Advisory Council of the Minnesota Homeownership center invited Gigi Yau along with Cecilia Howard and Vida Ogilvie to serve as their Emerging Market Community Liaison, along with a few former EMHI council members to form the Consumer Advisory Council.

Gigi Yau offers you the loan programs making the most financial sense based on your financial and credit situations, employment, income, stages in life, and financial goals. Gigi is experienced in helping immigrants and minorities getting into homeownership who face different challenges. Gigi wrote finance columns for different ethnic newspapers offering insight into finance and mortgage issues to benefit consumers. Gigi also shared insights in Asians’ Buying Behaviors with other real estate professionals at a meeting for the Multicultural Network of Real Estate Professionals and the first dinner event for the International Counsel of MAAR (Minneapolis Area Association for Realtors). She was an authorized instructor for the At Home with Diversity training program, National Association of Realtors. Gigi is one of 40 charter certified EMHI (Emerging Market Homeownership Initiative) loan officers and is one of 30 scholarship recipients and graduates of the 2007 Commercial Real Estate Specialist Program (CRESP) at the University of St. Thomas. Gigi holds a B.S. at DePaul University and MBA at Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota.
